Hi @Dave Mathias I assume they were put there to deter the cormorants and people wading there as the resident browns run the small stream to spawn. It enters into the pond just between those reeds.

a fine job you did too, im sure I seen a corm with a Christmas hat on today so you must of got them feeling all festive :D
