Hello Dave, Sean is quite correct, we ( the club ) are constantly monitoring the pond for Cormorant population and predation. Within the last several weeks the number of cormorants per day has been increasing and now stands at an average of 3. Firstly we have replaced the "branches" on the known perching points near the pontoon. Within the bay of the feeder stream we have had confirmed sightings of a cormorant taking two brown trout, each fish approx 1/2lb. The markers are not a permanent solution but will serve as temporary scare tactic, in the meantime we can study their effectiveness.
